I am a painter and the founder of a cultural enterprise. My work is a dual practice: I create large scale paintings that examine the politics of displacement, and I build the platforms and systems that connect this work to the center of civic and economic life. Coming Up
Rōstrum / Rōstrum Reframed (2024 - 2025)
A series of large scale avian paintings first exhibited in 2024 at Pendleton Arts Block and The Arts Asylum. The project evolves in late 2025 with Rōstrum Reframed, a one night pop up installation and strategic experiment in direct to collector sales within a nontraditional wellness space.

Living in Tents: An Art Exhibition by Daniel Montoute
A major solo exhibition of large scale, mixed media works that examines the politics of displacement and the aesthetics of resilience through the lens of housing instability. This work will be presented in a civic context at Westwood City Hall.📍

The Ampersand Guild

A multi-disciplinary creative enterprise in Macon, GA, directed by Daniel Montoute. The Guild housed an art gallery, a black box theater, and studio spaces, becoming a key piece of infrastructure for the regional creative economy.
